Maybe its current stock price has run past any offers. People in the PM sector talk all the time, but deals are rarely closed.

WLF is active in the Red Lake area - it was a good fit for GC. Also WLF's share price was under water and co mgnt were likely desperate for a company like GC to help lend some much needed credibility. VIA has credibility up the ying yang. Frankly, I'd be quite p*ssed if VIA dealt off 10% to a Senior at current prices.
