I'm surprised

Somebody had a faith in the company and bought over 10 million shares at $2.65 a share. That's a reason for the stock to go up not down. I recommend everyone had sold to buy back their shares before it's too late.

And made 10 million from shorting this. As of now pp cost them $1.65. . A share. Now they run it back to $2.65 and make another $10 million.pp cozt them zippo.

I am deeply concerned regarding statements being made on this bullboard? If your claim is actually true then why can we not take legal action against them! I am actually interested to know how this works?   Can you elaborate on your statement so I can understand how they make money on buying at $2.65 and then shorting the stock. And how everything goes to plan and everyone sells to follow ...more

I am just saying this without any facts. Who knows who shorted this stock. N9t the first time i see stocks drop to the pp level. This one dropped a lot further. Why didn't this drop before the pp and do financing lower. I am really clued out.

It's a common tactic that before a bought deal, the company doing the bought deal will short the stock at a higher price. The company doing the bought deal is then certain to make money since they cover their short with the bought deal (which explains why they would use the over-allotment even with a lower share price). They also get free warrants on top of it all.

Don't think short-then-bought-cover doable, it is inside trading
Comment by Willlee on Apr 08, 2022 11:05am
I mean bought-deal cover
Comment by 88guy88 on Apr 08, 2022 11:16am
the bought deal is done first...fully disclosed and then there is nothing to stop them from shorting after that
Comment by Willlee on Apr 08, 2022 11:21am
Everybody can short, but why you spend 28 million bought a stock, then short it to 18 million

Just 'cause it's 'technically' legal doesn't mean it's not sleazy as faaaakkk and as immoral as it gets.  This is precisely the kind if thing that the DOJ is cracking down on and an Anson Funds person who shall remain unmentioned, has been order to speak to.   https://marketfrauds.to/moez-kassam-anson-funds-panic-as-doj-widens-investigation/ That ...more

Good post. I know some of the statements you've made are correct, and I wonder if your "read" is also correct. I was hoping that the Nasdaq listing would have put an end to this BS, but apparently it didnt.

It's not the first time that Valens would have done questionable deals. The term loan with a numbered entity (back in Nov 2021) that won't reveal its name was pretty shady as well.

Does anyone know how the shares are distributed, on the Nasdaq opposed to the TSE? Are there shares on both exchanges or are they only on the one exchange. I am asking as is if it illegal in the US to carry out this type of business protocol, how did they do it. Was it only on the Canadian exchange?  Thanks

Agreed Kiity. This will be set up for a big short with all that paper on hand. It's not looking good for Valens at this point. The manipulation will get much worse. The shorts will drive this down then re finance below a dollar and drive it back up and the cycle continues....

So after reading all the past comments am I reading that people on this board are hypothesizing that there is an organized destruction of this Canadian company about to happen?

It is a problem in Canada and it has been highlighted before but so far nothing has been done about it.
