Strength To be holding its own in light of carnage hitting big name producers is pretty impressive. I own some Detour and it's getting crushed today, new low for the year. Its not a producer (yet), but is fully financed.
Can't understand the negative reaction to Honest Abe. I thought it was a very good post, and a LOT more useful than the cheerleading stuff one usually gets on Stockhouse.
By the way, Abe, a week or two ago, Scotia expected capital expenses of $675 million US and sustaining capital of $16 mm per year for a 12 mm ton/year operation, 12 year mine life, avg. production of 335,000 oz/yr but 390,000 oz/yr in the first 3 years. Including royalty, operating cost of $689 per oz. I have no idea what the corporate tax rate is for gold miners in B.F. Scotia also expected 75% equity financing, issuing stock at $1.30 per share, bringing outstanding shares to something like 533 million according to my notes.
