until the game becomes unplayable for them, these grades are going to significantly improve the economics of the entire Kiaka project, and I reckon mgmt are going to get a favourable financing deal for VTR.  If you read the bios of the team, they are some very experienced and respected people.  That is worth it's weight in gold (although as VT1 always says, gold seems to be valued more as a liablility than an asset!!:-))

After that, Standard Bank and management will have more solid ground to work out the financing plans..... JV with some partners, cap investment from non-mining firm (Cluff Gold - Samsung), loans and PP etc... who knows? Until then, VTR will be in this low 40s ...more

gd1 - yes, last presentation said 26 million still in the bank (early September) and the company has said they have enough money to fund the entire feasibility study.  No PP in the near future.   Still think that, this being the market's favorite 'anit-gold' stock, it will have to trade down to at least .45, and preferably do a bigger capitulation to .37 to complete this ...more

That's how they play when they get a PP with warrants - the ideal game is to run the stock up above the PP price prior to the PP, short into the price spike to unsuspecting retailers, cover the short with the PP shares and then hold the warrants as a lottery ticket. Doesn't work as well without the warrants, and since the PP at 1.90 the shareprice has been all down - not much chance to ...more
