stock is down after the news release.........

I would have never ever guessed that the stock would go down after an excellent second project is outlined by the company. Stocks dont get much cheaper than this for the amount of resources volta has. 3 years ago this stock would be tradding for a 400 million dollar market cap. And i do agree with the analyst upgrade...........fifty cents is a heck of a bargin for this company. Glta.>

There is a bit of perspective that needs to be considered as to why there was no immediate change in value.    In a nutshell, Gaoua is not their primary project.  If it were then people would be looking at an interesting >3B lb copper project with gold by-products.  Using very rough calcs, it would have a capex of anywhere from $400m to $1B and a conservative cashflow ...more

I think you're a little over optimistic - based on the market reaction there's a negative value to Gauoa -ie it's actually WORSE to have Gaoua than not to have it, and the more 'stuff' (gold, copper, etc..) there is at Gaoua, the worse it is.   Honestly, why give the Fed/Bullion Bank bootlickers at the institutions running the VTR market the satisfaction of 'explaining ...more

eebler, good to see a post from you on the board.  Here is my response. I am confused by your comment that "there was no immediate change in value".  The news release indicates an increase in the resource estimate of 189 per cent or something like that.  Casimer in their report from yesterday adjusted their net asset value of VTR upward and states specifically:  ...more

Correct...replace "value" with "price".  As you say, the trading that is occuring is not taking into consideration the inherent value. My comment had solely to do with the share price.   It is trading on $20/oz for just the indicated in higher grade "lens" material.  That is ridiculously low.  Even low-ball transactions are happening ...more

Look in 2008-2009 many of the material stocks that make money (not venture stocks) were trading at less value than the cash they had on hand - now 4 years later many were taken out by bigger companies and the rest is history.  My point is that the real value will be seen eventually and yes, you may not catch the bottom (as most value investors see the price get knocked down farther). But at ...more
