I had not done the calculations, so was interested to read this.  So we would earn 50 dollars for every ton of rock processed at Kiaka on the 1 gram per ton grade.  A lot of work for 50 bucks, but with the size of the deposit and once they get systems in place it will make sense over time. 

t today's price, one gram of gold is worth around $50.

A 2012 study by NRH Research noted there were 439 gold deposits worldwide at the time containing >1m ozs.  The average grade of the ones that were in production was 1.06 g/t.  Undeveloped projects averaged 0.66 g/t.  Kiaka Central mineralized lenses average greater than 1.5 g/t. Kiaka South averages around 2 g/t.

Thank you eebler for that clarification.  That is true, and when we see the BFS we will see that in the new approach they will focus in the initial years on the mineralized lenses, so I guess we get double the money, being $100.00 per ton.  Still seems like a pittance for going through a ton of rock.  I had a job once where I drove a half ton truck, so I double that in my mind when ...more
