Unloved to the Power of 3

Here is an article about EDV (Endeavour). Many of the comments apply equally to Volta. EDV has a market cap of 270 million. It is a producer with more than one mine. Like Volta there are analyst target prices far in excess of its current share price. EDV is a great company, just a little further along in its evolution than Volta.

No offence but I fail to see how you can compare a producer like EDV which is projecting 450,000 oz of gold production in 2014 to VTR which has no production and does not likely even have an economic deposit at $1300 gold.

jdn55 - exactly right.  There is no comparison.  VTR at the current price of gold with the industry operating costs being what they are has nothing but  a bunch of desert real-estate at Kiaka.  Comparing it to a producing company isn't valid at all.

OMG, we can compare Volta to any company we want, whether it be Barrick, one of our own businesses, or Walmart for that matter, if there is a point to be made.  To go back to my original point, it was that we share in common with EDV that we are unloved to the Power of 3.  If you want, you can say that we are unloved to the power of 4 because we are not a producer.  Wow
