VMD Short positions reduced

It is interesting to see how Viemed's short positions got closed: https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/vmd/short-interest

It shows more than a short interest reduction of a million and half shares in late June. Hoever, the temporary price bump we saw was in July/Aug. Peculiar. Although with this low daily trade volume, I don't know how one can close such large volume of short positions without moving the price a lot.
