Skier, don't shoot the messenger, I didn't write the article. And no, this article had nothing to do with SMB or TPN or even AOI. I routinely google-search "Kenya news" and this is what came back yesterday, so don't undermine my character because you don't like the news.
It is you that is trying to spin this into something it is not and there are no issues with SMB in Kenya. I used to have a level of respect for you as the passive aggressive pumper that you are, I see that perhaps the stress of holding VEL may be getting to you now?
I used to own VEL but dumped it a while ago, I am still long on AOI, SMB and TPN. (& NFK which is Tunisia) Maybe you should call VEL and ask them why they haven't released an update in a month?
To be clear, VEL has been in Kenya for 7+ years, SMB's been there 2 & 1/2. SMB completed its first phase work program in less than 2 years and is good standing with NOCK and the Kenyan Gov. You may want to check your facts. SMB has little cash but has $3 M coming once their current farmout closes. Then the remaining work will be covered up to drill ready status!
VEL has done practically nothing for 7 years. How's that drill program in Garissa coming along? And why was VEL's geologist on a Kenya TV report claiming VEL made a discovery?
Its a sad state of affairs when after numerous extentions, Millions put up in trust and yet still they are in jeopardy of losing their licences due to incompetence.
How you figure that the Kenyans have changed the rules is beyond comprehension. VEL had several extenstions all of this clearly stated in the PSC. (go check the Jan. 25/13 N.R.)
