Veren should sell Saskatchewan move to Alberta

I'm not ceo but their Saskatchewan now represent 25% (50k barrels a day) and it's project 2028 for the same capital expenditure it will just produce 37k barrel per day also level excess cash flow will be 605millios going down to 395mlions in 2028

now Alberta montney will do 95k bpd to 137bpd in 2028

why they don't sell Saskatchewan and move all to Alberta , this way they cut expenses as all the operations will be in the same spot and use proceed to pay down some debts and drill more productive wells , because now it's the good time to sell before they start spending money and loose 200millions of level free cash flow while spending the same capex

If I would be Craig I will dump Saskatchewan in 2025

They'll take a huge loss on the Taj Mahal office buildings they built in rural Saskatchewan communities. No one will pay anywhere near what they cost to build, especially with the way investment and corporations have been fleeing Canada over the last 8 years.  Who's going to buy them?  Maybe another thrift store or Dollar Store.

Their Sask operations are low decline stable assets.. I think the FCF they provide is hard to turn away from with the relatively low levels of capex to maintain production.. of course that's another disucssion as to longevity of those plays..? What makes me mad is the disconnect we're seeing across the Canadian players with crude moving up for over a week now.. there's more to this ...more
