A very controversial question but l am prepared to answer as l never dodge the hard ones.I was of two minds about the Pearson government , the introduction of CPP and a Medical plan were both very good initiatives and progressive compared to the USA .On the other hand at eleven and a half years old l was not a supporter of the new Canadian Flag and never have been. You will notice that both Australia and New Zealand have maintained the Union Jack on their flag and even Hawaii an American state sports the Union Jack on its State Flag, second Pearson was the Pm that foisted PET on us , a notorious Anglo hater. I am and will always be proud of my Anglo Heritage and the contributions Great Britain made to civilizing the World.True , at one point the sun never set on the Empire , no other country ever can claim that distinction

Hmmm. Good post. What can I say as a Frisian born, except that we helped populate Britain along with the Angles, Saxons and Jutes. The Frisians also hailed from Saxony, so we are kissing cousins. But the Brits have fallen a bit today, whilst the Frisians and Holland seem to be thriving.

One hundred % right , that's why we are called Anglo Saxons and an area on the East coast is still called East Anglia. But let's not forget the Norse influence , the same people that you too are descended from and the forbeares of William the Conqueror of Normandy Sadly for them , in Normandy that affiliation is basically extinct.

I'm reading Jack Whyte's Camulod Chronicles right now and it's a real enjoyable way to gain a little insight into the beginnings of the dark ages when the Roman's packed up and left. I'm a WASP and make no apologies for it.

Yes , for sure our PC correct a term not used at that time got a Nobel for brokering a peace and emasculating the Canadian reputation. In Hindesight he should have let the IDF decimate Nasser and that might have prevented the last almost 70 years of Middle East chaos. Finally , notice it was the balless UN and Canada that after the combined Arab nations were preaching Jihad and the total ...more

Every one in the Middle class owned one or two.Britain outlawed slavery over 70 years before either the USA or Spain , so get your facts straight. You have already proved yourself an ingrate to a country who let you in , maybe you should have stayed in Finland with those that didn't leave. As for your ridiculous statement of English slave ownership you are on par with the fool you agree with.Now ...more

Yes Noble they tend to be know-it-alls that will say its Sunday if you say its Saturday. I've got several of them on ignore but I know they follow me around like stray dogs policing my posts. Thats fine. Its not that important to me that they think they're proving something. Keep up the good work and never, ever, back down, or give in, to the lefturds.
