China are making nice and this deal should wrap up by the 17 and we all get our money. When I first invested in this stock I had a high target than 16.50, but I'm happy enough with this. BBB

It would now appear the Chinese are going to reject Glencores application. You will then see Viterra divest itself of their Chinese holdings, and the deal will close 90 days later. They will not let ...more

I see now that Canada had extended their decision to Dec 1 on Nexen while China was to give their ruling on Nov 15 on Viterra. Wonder if China will rule or put back the approval date until Nexen deal ...more

Viterra owns 49% of canola plant in South China worth approx 25 million and controls about 15% of canola and malted barley imports into China. Hardly reason to block Glencore except to get back at ...more

That seems to be the worry,driving this stock lower.I don't know why China is so important to getting this buy out approved.I didn't think Viterra has that much business in China.

sellers think still a possibility of it falling through? Not a bad place to park a pile of money during a rough market and just wait for the .20-25 cent gain on completion? Really looks like this is a ...more

Where is Viterras agricultural research program going? Canola, flax, wheat, etc.  I noticed this wasnt talked about much.
