HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Equus TotalReturn, Inc. (NYSE: EQS- News) (“Equus” orthe “Fund”) announcedthat is has received preliminary results from the independentinspectorof elections for the Fund’s Annual Meeting of Stockholders whichtookplace on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. The inspector’s preliminaryresultsshowed that each of the Fund’s nine nominees for director (FraserAtkinson, Alessandro Benedetti, Richard Bergner, Kenneth Denos,GregoryFlanagan, Henry Hankinson, John Hardy, Robert Knauss, and BertranddesPallieres) were elected to a one-year term expiring at the nextannualshareholder meeting, and that UHY LLP, the Fund’s independentauditors,had also been approved for another one-year term. The Fund willpromptlyannounce the final results of the Annual Meeting of Stockholdersafterthey are certified by the independent inspector of elections.
