Beijing, Dec.27 (Antaike)-Due to the weak demand in domestic tungsten conc. market, tungsten conc. price has dropped to 110,000-115,000 yuan/t. The tungsten smelters were still facing more pressure from overstocks. There is no obviously sign for domestic tungsten market to recover before the end of 2012, part of smelters started to shut down for maintenance in advance.
A senior manager of Jiangxi Dayu Hongda Mining Co., Ltd. told Antaike that their APT production line has been started maintenance and they have no plan to reopen before the Spring Festival.
It will be difficult for domestic tungsten market to improve before the Spring Festival.
