RE:RE:If
RE:RE:IfNot to sound discouraging, but from my own experience (I have visited a lot of mines in my life):
Even with an appointment, you're likely to wait at the gate/security until an employee that you will be meeting with that has authorized you as a guest and cleared you with the appropriate people can come and get you. Showing up at the gate and saying that you're investor (no matter how many shares/$ you may have in that mine or what credentials you bring to prove it) is not going to get you past security; I definitely agree that you'd need to talk with investor relations.
They generally do organized tours for analysts and investors but for a single investor your odds aren't great. Maybe they have something coming up that you could join in on.
Sadly, it's not as easy for us to 'kick the tires' as it is for institutional investors et al. Then again, how much time and resources do we want to devote to having regular visitors/investors/potential investors tying up staff?
It would be very nice to have an idea of what's going on there, so I wish you luck and hope to hear from you if you're able to arrange a visit. Otherwise, enjoy your trip to Korea.
