I tend to agree Tech1...... the fact that mgmt owns a large portion of the company and that they have a share buyback program in place. The question is to what end: - push up share price - take company private - make it attractive as a takeout target - prepare for mergers Well regardless of the reason, they are results driven. 42.44M of Almonty's 49M shares are owned by insiders.  That is 87% (not just 50%).  This is a tightly controlled company which has no more than 6.5M shares held by retail shareholder.  They are unified in their purpose.  Again, WOF shareholders should be happy about the buyout, other than being unhappy about the $.08 price tag.  The only thing that could change that ...more

Precisely. I'm okay with the merger to create a larger fish. I'm just totally peeved at the price they're offering.

Ark, that is pretty much the way we all feel. I think the merger is a great opportunity, just not at this ridiculous price.

Thanks for the info MS!......For a stock that is thinly traded and very tightly controlled, share price appreciation was not their priority prior to this merger proposal (otherwise their would be a greater float of shares in the market).
