If you go to Google Earth and locate :-
- In Deg/Min/Sec :- 37 deg, 08 min, 52.9 sec North & 128 deg, 50 min, 24.85 sec East, or
- In Decimal Degrees 37.14802778 Lat & 128.8402361 Lon,
this should pin-point the centre of the old APT plant and offices, (it's the largest building on the East side of the stream & road).
This building is totally gutted of old equipment, as are the others.
- Approx. 140 metres West of the centre of old APT plant is the old concrete dump hoppers, (use the Google Earth ruler tool to measure).
- West of that is a road and across the road is the old mine access portal, (approx. 30 metres from dump hoppers).
- On the road North of the dump hoppers, (approx. 130 metres) is a clearing that has old (refurebished), and new site offices / crib rooms and the new mine access portal.
- North of this and West of the hairpin bend in the road, is the main old limestone quarry.
- Approx. 140 metres South of the centre of the APT plant, on the West side of the road & stream, is the old furnace / smelter area.
- Elevations above sea level :-
- Old APT plant road / stream, 590 metres ;
- Road next to old dump hoppers, 655 metres ;
- Top of mountail West of old mine access portal, approx. 850 metres.
- ALL of the trees in the area are deciduous, and it's only in the winter months that you can see the whole site and mountian-scape, (in summer months it's a jungle).
- Down stream at the junction to the main river is the town, (split by the junction up & down river).

- To answer a previous post on "why we can't start mining underground in THIS winter?", is that we need to have something first built to put the raw ore in, (i.e. crushers, conveyors, screening, stockpiles, grinding and process plant etc.).
- I feel that test drilling for the upper levels are completed to get started with a SOLID underground mine plan, (if not already done), and there are things that can be started to prepare, (but still needs money to progress).
- Under ground mine engineering is a specialised process, and quite different to obove ground engineering / activities, (two complete and seperate operations with one, or more termination points to join under grounr to above).
- Woulfe needs to :-
1. Seal the deal ;
2. Finalise finance ;
3. Allocate engineering / design / drafting team, (above and below ground) ;
4. Procure / order essential mining / process equipment ;
5. Allocate fabrication / construction company / crews, (above and below ground) ;
6. Power / water / infrastructure ;
7. Govt. / local, etc.....
- Apart from 1. and 2. the rest will not be a step by step process, but will happen all at once with all parties liaising to complete the project, (many pow-wows and table talk / meetings required).
- I'm not worried about the weather, as every thing above ground will be enclosed from the elements, (except roads), and other mines in the area even have fully enclosed stock piles.
 .....just want to get started.

Thanks for the great info. The area can't be too inhospitable. There is a golf course at the same elevation 3,000 meters to the north. Quite a few cars in the parking lot for the end of October. The turf is very green and actively growing as can be observed by the mowing pattern stripes.

Thanks for that Chrisp, it's amazing, and I wouldn't have noticed it unless pointed out. I didn't think recreation in this area, (Soth Korea), was a big deal. The complex to the North West must be the ski resort at 1200 metres top runs down to 1000 metres, and it looks a lot more sophisticated and well planned, (and expensive) than what I'm used

I can't see that ding-bat brat boy, North of the border, upholding his unbelievable, (not believed) record for holes in one on this course, as opposed to his in house living room put-put course. His skiing skills would be similar to a penguin sliding down a hill on it's belly.
