RE:RE:RE:What is the appeal of the debentures?FYI, the appeal of the debentures to investors is the added security they have over the share, both in terms of principle and yield.
In the event of company liquidation, the debentures are paid out before any funds are directed to shareholders.
In terms of the yield, the share dividend can be lowered or cancelled at anytime. The debentures have a defined yield.
For those who expect the company value to improve over time, both options allow the holder to participate
