To 99999 gold. Should we fire the SEC as well? https://www.sec.gov/answers/shortsale.htm

If the stock runs as it nears its ex dividend date say to 3 I can cover and collect back the 350 from LRE

Ok genius, if you shorted lre originally and you covered before the ex dividend date, how many shares of LRE do you now own? Because we don't know the color of the sky in your world, I will help you out... the answer is 0. Please explain to me how you plan to earn a dividend from anybody with 0 shares. As for the rest of your entire post, you changed your argument from "shorts don't have to pay the dividend", to "it's ok because LRE is going from 2.80 down to $2 so I am still further ahead. Please stop while you are behind......

omg buddy, read the balance sheet! read the line dividends declared!

your handle is perfect for what I feel right now.

Lol, yup, because the rules for who pays dividends when you are short selling, can be found on the dividends declared line on a companies balance sheet. /facepalm I think I will just leave this conversation where it is, good luck in your future in stock trading...
