Revenue Canada is very generous with their allowable rates of depreciation, and usually will allow for a company to depreciate assets faster than what is normal.
A disposition of those assets, usually always comes with a recapture of over-depreciation.
But newbies like you, wouldn't recognize a concept so challenging like GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
As at June 30, 2015
$2.851 billion in property/plant/equipment less
$1.296 billion in accumulated depreciation equals
$1.557 billion in depreciated assets
This is all accounted for in the after dilution share book value of $2.42 per share
