RE:RE:High Book Value after dilution of $2.42 per share

RE:RE:High Book Value after dilution of $2.42 per shareDepreciation more than takes care of the reduced value of assets.

Revenue Canada is very generous with their allowable rates of depreciation, and usually will allow for a company to depreciate assets faster than what is normal.

A disposition of those assets, usually always comes with a recapture of over-depreciation.

But newbies like you, wouldn't recognize a concept so challenging like GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

As at June 30, 2015

$2.851 billion in property/plant/equipment less
$1.296 billion in accumulated depreciation equals
$1.557 billion in depreciated assets

This is all accounted for in the after dilution share book value of $2.42 per share
