BHI Rig Count: U.S. -90 to 1543, Canada -38 to 394

Baker Hughes Incorporated has posted Weekly Rig Count reports to its Investor Relations website. BHI Rig Count: U.S. -90 to 1543 rigs U.S. Rig Count is down 90 rigs from last week to 1543, with oil rigs down 94 to 1223, gas rigs up 3 to 319, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 1. U.S. Rig Count is down 242 rigs from last year at 1785, with oil rigs down 199, gas rigs down 39, and miscellaneous rigs down 4. The U.S. Offshore rig count is 49, down 5 rigs from last week, and down 8 rigs year over year. BHI Rig Count: Canada -38 to 394 rigs Canadian Rig Count is down 38 rigs from last week to 394, with oil rigs down 23 to 200, and gas rigs down 15 to 194. Canadian Rig Count is down 214 rigs from last year at 608, with oil rigs down 204, and gas rigs down 10. 5% drop in one week. It will accelerate. Even if the rate don't accelerate it will be 20%+ drop in one month. Spectacular short squeeze on COS upon dividend cut. Actually COS is still losing money and burning cash. BNE cut and basically no response. Expect similar events to occur.
