Metaverse Fashion Week Returning in March 2023

The return of the metaverse fashion week hosted in Decentraland has just been announced and will occur from March 28-31. One of Token’s subsidiary, the Metaverse Group, will once again host the luxury portion of the show in its Luxury Fashion District, where several brands will debut new digital collections inside the Fashion Arena on the catwalk. And with the brand names being announced in January, I’m excited to see who they can bring to the show this year.

- Past participants included Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Selfridges, Guo Pei, Paco Rabane, and that’s only scratching the surface of the brands that attended last year.
- It also hosted over 108,000 attendees interested in wearables and digital fashion.
- In total, these brands minted over 165K wearables during this event for attendees.

Rather than having these fashion shows hosted for exclusivity, the metaverse fashion week opens the experience for everyone. This accessibility allows for a far greater brand reach for participating companies as there is potential for tens of thousands of people being able to experience their designs live in the fashion show, unlike traditional shows. Definitely keep an eye out for developments about the show.
