They may reassure short-term traders but doesn't (or at least shouldn't) give long term investors comfort. If anything it could point to push for a run up supported by hype and sets it up for a (bigger) fall. Not suggesting that's the case here (or that it's any reflection on the company) but does make it something to watch and perhaps factor into investment decisions...

Flashback moment: the overall market running ahead of the economy reminds me of the late 90s and the dot.com bubble - if you weren't around or don't remember what happened.... have a look at a chart going back to early 00s. I happened to be working in the DRM (digitial rights mgmt) space at the time - Google weathered the storm but it was one of only a few that survived. There were MANY others that didn't do so well (and some no longer exist!).
