very difficult to explain

It's actually really quite difficult to draw any conclusions from recent trading. Volumes have disappeared . I have no idea why.
If you look at some of the oft-mentioned names on this board, and look at their volumes today, you'll see what I mean.
Today Xebec traded just over a third of its average daily volume over the last 3 months. Both Exro and Greenlane traded about a fifth of theirs. And finally, Pyrogenesis came in at just under one half.
If anyone has a plausible explanation for this bizzare phenomenon, please enlighten me. Stocks that don't trade often drift lower under the weight of sheer boredom, as money leaves seeking more exciting plays.

Babedinkleman, I not following your comments, can you explain what mirror trades and fake trading along with what hype column is. This is the first I have heard of these terms. Please elaborate.

Don't worry about him. He doesn't know what he's talking about. He doesn't even have the terminology right. The type of trading he's talking about is wash trading. Mirror trading is an entirely different thing, used primarily in the forex market. Copying the trades of successful traders almost simultaneously. Wash trading in stocks is essentially creating an illusion of ...more

A very simple way to make a decision whether or not to sell a stock you own, and one that has put you through an emotional vortex, is to try hard to imagine you've never heard of it, and you don't know anything about it, but someone gave you a tip. ......You look at the balance sheet, ( and you realize that this company has $1.06 per share in cash), the income statement, the management ...more

Sorry, but mirror trading is legal. Wash trading isn't. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

XBC is way over sold now, so a great time to get in.
Comment by HonestAl on Apr 09, 2021 2:58pm
Newcoin said "XBC is way over sold now, so a great time to get in." I ask "based on what?"  I'm not saying it's not accurate, because neither of us knows for sure today.  I'm calling your post out because if we call out senseless bashers, the same must apply to unsubstaniated claims.  I don't claim to know more than you, it's just that for a ...more

Honest Al, Many analysts have stated that the stock is oversold. You'll get into it once you've been here a while.
Comment by ZouZS3 on Apr 09, 2021 11:03am
If you think that XBC is a victim of fake trading, you are quite wrong. Xebec has already lots of interest. It does not need "fake" trading to attract interest. I think it's more something like new investors who got in at high prices with weak hands are victims of day-traders who also got in at high prices and they are taking advantage of volatility & uncertainty to gain back ...more

Looks like the whole market is affected by low volume. "The S&P 500 hovered near a record, with trading volume 25% below the average of the past 30 days. The Nasdaq 100 underperformed major equity benchmarks."
