Two experienced hands onboard

I'm rather impressed by the level of candidates XBC has been able to attract for the posts.

Along with the expertise stemming from HyGean and Inmatec, I think 2021 is offering a turning point opportunity for XBC - in short, the departure of Prabhu may have become a blessing in disguise.

Granted, both these guys have a lot on their shoulders, joining XBC at such a time, but when joining a business so battered actually provides interesting opportunites to move away from older, less performing systems and work methods, and introduce best practices.

It's important to remember that Kurt has a LOT of skin in the game (not sure I could emphasize 'lot' much more). He knows the history of where these two guys come from and I'm sure he's been intimately involved in their recruitment process - to the point where he's probably had in mind (as previously alluded to) having the VP as a likely candidate to take over from him in the next couple of years.

In short, anyone having faith in management - irrespective of recent weaknesses - should trust the fact that XBC has selected strong candidates to help lead it forward, and to the next level - including in an eventual NASDAQ uplist.

My two cents.

Agreed.   Weaknesses in the organization at multiple levels was exposed.  These guys are coming in at a critical and much needed time when BGX Biostream is gaining market acceptance and ramping up production. They can assist with expansion and growth at Inmatec and Hygear, sourcing efficiencies and pricing leverage for the service centers and in a few years with BOO, Carbonquest ...more

No doubt that it will be reflected in the share price and at which point his retirement in a few years will be that much more gratifying. Hopefully ours as well!

Based on their skill sets, I'm sure that these individuals were in demand. With that in mind, it's safe to assume that they would not have joined XBC unless they thought that the company had considerable potential going forward. GLTA

This is perhaps the most salient point.  These very positive appointments will be instrumental in moving this company from 'show me' status after clear management missteps.  I'm pleased to see this level of talent agreeing to come aboard. Rather than focussing on the poor corporate performance of an all-too-typical Quebec family compact company, it's far more important to ...more

Personally, I'm thrilled to have these two new guys hired on. It will pay off big time. Excellent!!

Well said. These are 2 very nice hires. New COO has a wealth of experience with large enterprise operations. He brings with him a huge rolodex of relationships. Also being in the Quebec region is a big plus both from a communications perspective and a cultural one. The provincial government is a strategic partner for XBC and will be one of their biggest proponents as they like to take care of ...more
