Short covering or a fund coming in? Either way the shorts will be thinking about covering in the days leading to Q4 esp with all these tailwinds wrt energy security.

Putin has really pushed the need to move towards renewables.  LIghting a flame under renewables.

Definitely a short covering. Funds don't move the market with a single limit order. They accumulate or arrange a cross. Expect more to come.

$1.65 now. It filled the gap. Wonderful. Nice volume. When was the last time you saw a drip go up?

Don't see the gap filled, open gap remains between $1.62 and$1.65.

Yesterday's high was $1.64. Opened at $1.75. dropped to $1.65, then turned higher.

Don't think it's short covering, buy orders were from brokerage houses 7, 2, 80, 83. Shorting activity was coming mainly from CIBC, and ANON (79 and 1)

Some people here seem to think that short covering has yet to show up. I have absolutely no idea how they can draw that conclusion. Watch for big offerings to get taken out and you can be sure there is some covering going on. Th volume will tell the story. It's already less than 120,000 shy of the full day on Toronto yesterday, and it isn't even noon. There is no question in my mind ...more
