That was given up years ago lol.  They annouced the twitter thing in 2010.  Probably never actually launched for a couple years after.  Like the coming wonring.  There is no profit in doing things for free. 

Besides that, it's not like Twitter couldn't write a few lines of code to use google translate if they wanted to.  Don't pretend the translation is some big breakthough app that Ortsbo has or had some patent on.  It is a little app that uses google translate which is a large complex evovling program with a massive database and the hardware to go with it.
 
The problem with Twitter translation is there is a lot of slang and partial sentences which will never translate well without human intervention.  That is what twitter uses if you have ever spent 3 minutes to check.

Here is DL's annoucement.  He sure collected a lot of salary since then.
