How dumb/poor are canadian investors? 80% payout ratio and 8% dividend and still falling. Most Canadian reits struggling

why would you say that?   Book value is $5.45 and at 5 per unit,  yield is still 6%.

It only goes to 5 if they raise the dividend which they cut during COVID.  Payout ratio seems to allow for this.

And probably the highest on the TSX.   I think it should be 7.5% given the payout ratio of 77%. Even with higher debt renewal its a safe enough buffer to be a non issue until rates go back
