No, KWH is already trading ex-div. If you buy today, you don't get the .21 dividend, which will be paid out the sooner of June 17th or 5 days after the closing of the deal, iirc. ...more

Assume you buy the share for a total $1000 at $8.50, and assume the deal is closed in June. You make $8.8 - $8.6 + $0.21 dividend or $0.41 profit per share, that's 4.8% in 2 months. As long ...more

I agree with your value assessment. Assuming the deal goes through in the second quarter (let's say in 3 months), the ~.21 per share is equivalent to .07 per month, which is in the ballpark ...more

As of today, KWH.UN can be purchased of $8.58. They will likely be taken up for $8.80 at closing. I took a small bet on this today. Investing today, I can gain $0.22 per unit when the deal closes ...more

I imagine the 20 cent discount is to get rid of your shares now. Money is locked in for months until closing while it can be put elsewhere to make profit. It will probably start to go up ...more
