I guess you are kind of right. Sagard Capital has been buying on behalf of the Desmarais Family Residuary Trust. So, is PSG part of Sagard's portfolio proper, as you have indicated, probably not ...more

My thinking is very simple...   The Desmarais have appointed Daniel Friedberg to the Board and the guy is a star... I am sure they have a masterplan behind this important move!

Trading today about 1/4 of the average daily volume. Cheap shares are drying up In my opinion, with about 17% of the total # of outstanding shares, Power Corp. is in a position to buy it all. Market ...more
