In the 2nd quarter report's balance sheet, the company is showing a short and long-term hedging liability of $91.8 million. They used a price of $930. with 429,000 oz. hedged at $801 this works ...more

I think Western going bankrupt is out of the question since they are holding on to a pretty good hedge, and they stated a few days ago that they have 44 million in cash

The hedge is going to save our bacon

Falling prices, under $700 now.If 1/3 of production is hedged at $801 and the cost of production is $400, WGI only requires $200 per oz. to break even. Most mines will close well before this price ...more
