The differences are about as subtle as comparing pesos and dollars and concluding that they are equal. Some companies have land holdings that are consolidated in the sweet spot if the play, others ...more

Bloomberg states the 2012 exit numbers. (29000boe/d).  Average for 2012 is 22000boe/d. Agree with you that based on this sale of CLT the value of the new company(Long Run) is around $24. This is ...more

I suspect there was something wrong with the bloomberg report (as usual).   I don`t follow Celtic, but if I remember correctly they are expecting 2012 exit of 29,000 boe, ie, they must be fairly ...more

That would make sense if the aggregate company, Long Run, was similar to Westfire, oily and on an aggressive growth path on a good shallow oil play like the Viking.  The larger aggregated ...more

another interesting take...

WFE and GO shareholders agree to merge, another firm takes out the new corp for 8 or 9 a share. Could be bigger plot when the smoke clears. Only an opinion but its improbable, but possible.

I voted against the deal but plan on holding my shares even if it goes thru as this is my long term Oil / gas play.
