One morning we are going to wake up and this will be $0.30+!! There are not a lot of shares to build a position below $0.30 - seems no one wants to sell, conversely nobody buying at the moment!!

One of my largest holdings which is a commitment to my belief that we are moving much higher this year.  wti oil to possibly end the year at $50-60 a barrel.

We will be trading higher than pre-pandemic 30-35 cents at this time next year. This works out to around a 50% return on your investment in 1 year.

Some even use working capital as cash equivalent but its best to go with cash only. I suppose if inventory gets turned over quickly then you can make a reasonable argument to include inventory as cash ...more

Enterprise value does not change depending on whether inventory is used as a current asset or long term asset. Their enterprise value is about 6-7 million less than current market cap as they are net ...more

TorontoJay, are you calculating EV using invenstory as part of "cash equivalents"? That will get you a different result vs if you put inventory in the long-term assets column, which is where ...more

Your point is valid however If you compare using other metrics such as EV to sales, EV to ebitda, price to book, price to sales, net cash , we find that Essential Energy is cheaper on a relative basis ...more

Basically the $32 million of inventory is going to be used to generate EBITDA that is less than that $32 million. At book value it may be worth $32 million, but it functions very differently than cash ...more
