Pine Beetle?
Can somebody please explain what the big deal with pine beetle is. As far as I can tell the wood is getting harvested before it goes to waste and is cheap to purchase as incentive to try to

Glad Doman's concentrating on
Eastern mills, as there does'nt seem t be much hope for pine beetle infested lumber in BC right now. I would think there's more demand for untainted goods......JMHO Vicky

Its simple. CFP picked up Tembec assets because it provided an opportunity to diversify their fibre basket at a very attractive rate from both a $/M3 and $/MFBM. They picked up ~1

You do understand that the mills that Canfor picked up are in Southeast British Columbia. No managment team in their right mind is looking at Eastern lumber assets at this time.

one of FBK's properties is in quebec. not sure Resolute will look at EACOM or not. anyway, with the improving of US housing market timber price will go up.
