Discount of ANS
At the closing price of ANS of $3.97 and LPX at 17.89 U.S. the ANS shares would be worth $4.34 is held to closing of the deal. This in taking into account exchange and the cost of conversion.

I,ve yet to sell a single share of ANS. With LPX upgraded and osb prices low, what happens if osb prices increase? With the deals conclusion months away I feel share appreciation is a real possibility

Will get some juice from Cdn $ rising. Closing predicted for Feb so capital gains tax nicely deferred. Whole sector should get a boost this fall.

This deal is considered a taxable event
no matter whether you take shares, or cash or part. Sure I'm happy to have a gain. I'm not happy to have to pay taxes about ans again after the rights offering 9 months earlier. Ans for me was
