Figured it out way later, Dec 19 was the ex-dividend date. Anybody selling probably forgot about holding on for one more day and got sniped with lowball offers that cascaded lower.

Yeah, but at >$3k per share it will always have low volumes unless institutions with large positions sold huge blocks of shares. Lesson learned might be just have a lowball offer in place until ...more
