CRA do not use the return of capital in the calculation of your tax return. It is information only. The taxpayers have to use return of capital to reduce the cost in their capital gains or loss ...more

Airlines are adopting similar cost saving / revenue boosting tactics. Baggage fees use to be included on long haul (overseas) flights. No longer. I believe it is only free for package (air+hotel ...more

BTW staffing costs are WAY below pre-covid levels ... hotels are adopting the Covid cleaning policy long term. No more daily room cleans unless you pay extra. That has trimmed operating expenses ...more
