Share buyback are useless
PPL planning to spend $350 million on share buy back. Buying 6 million share out of 555 milli9n shares is a drop in the bucket. I think this strategy is miss guided Why not pay down debt.

For the most part I agree, but for me, losing the monthly compounding of the dividend hurts as I DRIP. From a cash flow perspective I agree it shouldn't matter.

On the other hand, it makes them more of a "blue chip" like ENB, and we can have great confidence that the dividend will always be paid, never reduced, and very likely, raised annually.
