What is the catalyst for the sale? Not sure I buy the Couche Tarde tie up, given it is more prudent for a company like Couche Tarde to rent the premises and not exactly a prudent use of $30MM - $40MM ...more

Yup I agree what Becker wants for their stores is peanuts for a large corporation like Couche-Tarde.  I know 711 is also expanding stores across Canada and the US.  I am not sure why Becker ...more

Judging by their long relationship I don't see this as a problem.  Couche-Tard looks to be getting the best deal they can.  In the end the law would be on Becker's side to collect in ...more

That was my guess. I expect ATC|Macs lost some business and staff but overall suffered little damage or relatively less than others. A quick google search confirms this...no bad news...but challenges ...more

to the best of my knowledge.  I would be very suprised if AC were not able to reach an agreement with Becker. They seem to be in very good shape and should have no problem in paying their rent ...more
