I can understand being publicaly listed FORCES glencore to be transparent with Katanga, but why is there a NEED for glencore to be transparent?

the only reason they need to be transparent is because the company is publicly listed...all it does is add administrative burden and regulatory scrutiny.

We would know if Glencore is buying shares, this is public information and from what I understand they haven’t increased their stake in years.
