In addition, the Fund may hold up to 10% of the total assets of the portfolio directly in investments in global financial companies or indirectly through exchange-traded funds for the purposes of enhanced diversification and return potential. Bit of a pullback in the banks and so has affected SBC NAV... did bounce back on friday tho. 8.25% yield is barely better than some of the preferreds out there. Still probably a safe place to park

Generally speaking its a function of the Funds Tax position. If they have a high Capital gains, they need to distribute the gains otherwise the fund is taxable. If it is a small amount than

I do believe Brompton would wait to pay any special divvy, until its well above 25$ for a few months... but not sure how they handle the special divvy. It could be shares , or a onetime special

I dont think you can ever get 12 % by buying BK.... unless you buy it low and hold for a few months when the banks are going up. But based on their formula the payout is usually right arond 10% , many

SO now with the UNIT NAV above 25$ , SBC is eligible to give a special dividend on top of the regular one , at some point this year.
