This is why i never hold into earnings and especially not a junk stock. Their entire strategy is a mess. Focus on the strong retail stores (no, retail is not dead) and close and sell everything else ...more

Rhone Capital didn't get much of a bargain

on the HBC stock deal since they paid over $12 a share. Shareholders may soon discover the real estate estimate of $30 plus per share is just a dream and not based on reality. What a mess this company ...more

HBC is a fraud from beginning to end. The real estate valuation has been inflated to make the company look presentable but it's just a "house of cards" and could collapse anytime ...more

Today's summary of Scotiabank comment on HBC.

We remain cautious on the department store sector, but see limited downside on HBC shares from here. However, we have limited visibility on catalysts that would drive the shares higher.

I don't think one positive quarter will mean much but if HBC can put 2 or 3 consecutive positive quarters together that would be very meaningful.
