Why would there be a higher bid?

This looks like a done deal. Fait accompli..and I agree $57 in situ is LOW!  AR got a bargain!

So roughly $341 million for roughly 6 million oz Au in the m&i category?  Is that correct?  It seems like that is only $57/oz Au.  Has the market for gold really fallen this low ...more

Two ways to look at this deal. 1st take -  IMO the offer is very low and offensive as you say. I now realize why management was giving themselves more options after Mayer had said dilution is ...more

I'm also hapy . I almost sold on Friday all of my Prodigy and ws ging to get back in later as it was stgnat. OUCH that would've hurt . GLTAL
