Book value discount

Why is this trading over 50% discount to equity value? It looks like it was at about a 35% discount a few years ago. Has it just expanded over time? I'm new to this, any input is appreciated.

If cash is already in the company why not just buy back and cancel if there is liquidty?  Why pay it to the holding companies, seems like an added step?

There seems to be a decent amount of supply below 970 and I think another SIB is possible in August or November. I also think an SIB is more likely to happen if the stock trades in a range for a while ...more

I own a lot already but i would probably try to buy up to 970 right now. I invest for long term returns of north of 10% and it's hard to not see IV grow at least that fast if the market returns 10 ...more
