Lots of those stories,could of should have, what I see is  some plays like equinox can do the same on return and less risk.

a share for a spell. Juniors have been crushed this year. Liberty at least raised some money at a decent price compared to where we are today.

Liberty Gold CEO Bought 150k Shares in Open Market

Cal Everett has bought 150k shares since April 28th on the open market. Company currently has nearly 2mn measured / indicated, and is drilling 85,000 meters this year to increase reserves.
