You definitely could be correct - I've noticed large trades around 4 pm on any stock I've owned that do consistent daily buybacks. Always thought that was it but happy to learn something.

I believe that is incorrect. Buybacks can occur all day except for last 10 or 15 minutes depending on market cap. They usually starting around 10 am and can consist of a pre-arranged bulk trade
