regarding poker waningI was at one of the charity casino's in Ontario yesterday and waited 3 hours for a seat. Crazy I know very tiring, the wait time was due to a backup of players both tournament and table players. Lists of all 2-5 , 5-10 etc had over 20+ people waiting.Compared to August that is quite an increase excepting Christmas the staff are seeing a huge increase in poker players. Many of them are very young feels like sitting at a highschool table sometimes. My point is where are they learning the game? The future of poker is being played at school. Where do they all practise for the next tourney? Online. In this way I see a certain sustainability to online play strictly as a method of preparation. Tournament play was introduced in September at the Brantford Casino and now has grown to three days a week{local}.Players have to come the day before to line up for a wrist band ,then come the day of the tournament for a shot at a seat (another lineup).Once the seats are awarded they still have to wait for the tourney to start which takes 5 hrs+ to run.Is this type of behavior reasonable?Fadlike ? I think not simply stated it's addicting and we all know where gambling stands in the world of Sin. Whether LVH can capitalise on the frenzy is anyone's guess but I don't beleive it is a fad. Radar
