Long Term

Long TermI agree completely with your views Mayor. Like you I am a long term WRX (ISS) holder and have experienced the company's long and painful history. I had planned to dump my shares for a tax loss in December if the company was not showing any signs of improvement. When the share price strengthened a bit at year end I decided to hold on. I have felt confident in Carlson and his business strategy since he took over. He carried out the much needed divestiture of unprofitable business lines, brought in some new experienced managers and, most important in my view, abandoned the reliance on agents to get business in "verticals" and created a WRX sales force. These moves were long overdue. But the question remains, as you have pointed out, as to whether the WRX product can compete either in its present form or some new and improved format that they might have in their R&D pipeline. It still appears to be worthwhile staying with Carlson for a while longer - if he can't do it I think that means the company is headed downhill.
