RE: today's action....What we're seeing is a lot of buying coming from the European shareholder base that BVG has just spent a year building. They've attended conferences and made apparently the right contacts over there. I know from my other stocks that the Euros are hot on our resource stocks. The price jump in the last few days according to the company is just "catch up" from their past years efforts.
Don't forget that once the Euros buy a stock they are motivated to hold it for at least a year that way skirting the capital gains tax "punishment" we have over here regardless of when we sell.
Also, we might be seeing some anticipation arising from a positive result from the next hole they drill when the rig is moved to the other side of the old oil well, or , something good is brewing with their homestake property ? I've heard that a future revenue generating possibility exists there if it pays for them to have the ore custom milled nearby.
I can think of other possibilities but my snowboard beckons ! Good luck everyone.
