RE: RRSP

RE: RRSPok this is my brokers response. We are good to hold XSNX in our rrsp's. 1) RRSP eligibility... is determined by CCRA (or whatever RevCan are calling themselves today).. I am not sure what the requirements are, but an example of an ineleigible investment are some closed-end funds (think hedge funds) and some Flow-through issues... it is very hit and miss, and there is no "rule of thumb". 2) Personal eligibility... Even if a stock is RRSP eligible, you may have indicated that a certain investment is not suitable for you. For example, if you are a 85 year old pensioner, you may have indicated that you only want Bonds and GIC investmens (low risk), so even though XSUNX is RRSP eligible (*in General*) it is not suitable *for you*... (high risk) FC13
